Matthew Story, Director of Business Development

How I Got Here:
I’ve always been fascinated with technology: I was the kind of kid who disassembled (and sometimes reassembled) stereo equipment. I like to understand how and why things work – the more complicated the better. That curiosity became an important part of my career path, so the IT field was a natural fit. Unfortunately, life at a giant corporation was not; I wanted to make a difference, and be more than just another employee in a cubicle. DC Web Designers gave me the chance to help build something from the ground up – and no one complains when I take things apart.

What I Do:
In baseball vernacular I’m the equivalent of a utility player. I don’t know everything about any one thing, but I do know something about a lot… at least enough to be dangerous. If I can’t get your problem solved, I know someone here who can.

My responsibilities encompass business development, sales, project management, site maintenance and on-going technical support. I’m also the resident ‘techno-geek’ and man the ‘help desk’. Once your new site is launched I’ll be your contact for anything SNAFU or FUBAR. When you want to use your shiny laptop as a Frisbee I’ll be the one talking you down!
